Business Development Manager - Genova (12 months)

About the role

Deliveroo is looking for a Business Development Manager to join its Genova team, helping to build new relationships with the city's most premium restaurants and stores as a founding member of the regional growth effort. The role sits in the Regional Sales team, reporting to the Sales Lead, and focuses on high-end partnerships and a world-class onboarding experience for new merchants.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect, pitch and close new restaurants across Genova, acting as an area expert who knows the local food scene and trends.
• Communicate with restaurant owners through visits, calls and social media to show the value of Deliveroo's technology and help them overcome barriers to joining.
• Guide partners through the onboarding process so they have the best possible experience on the platform.
• Attend restaurant and food meet-ups to stay connected with the local culinary community and spot new opportunities.
• Use industry knowledge to show how the products solve real challenges for premium partners.

Required profile

• Significant experience targeting new business with a "hunter" mindset and a drive to close deals.
• Proven ability to negotiate and structure successful partnerships.
• Confidence dealing with premium partners face-to-face, by phone and by email.
• A resilient, tenacious approach in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
• A strong understanding of the restaurant industry is a significant plus.

What we offer

• Total target compensation of EUR 35,200 - 44,000 gross per year, with a base salary range of EUR 17,200 - 26,000, under the CCNL Commercio e Terziario (Level 4).
