Business Development Manager - Genova (Chinese Speaker)

About the role

Deliveroo is looking for a Business Development Manager to join its Genova team, reporting to the Sales Lead within the Regional Sales team. The role helps build new relationships with the city's most premium restaurants and stores and acts as a founding member of the regional growth effort. It is a 12-month position.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect, pitch and close new restaurants across Genova, acting as an area expert who knows the local food scene and trends.
• Communicate with restaurant owners through visits, calls and social media to show the value of Deliveroo's technology and help them overcome barriers to joining.
• Guide partners through the onboarding process so they have a smooth transition onto the platform.
• Attend restaurant and food meet-ups to stay connected with the local culinary community and spot new opportunities.
• Use industry knowledge to show how the products solve real challenges for premium partners.

Required profile

• Significant experience targeting new business with a "hunter" mindset and a drive to close deals.
• Proven ability to negotiate and structure successful partnerships.
• Confidence dealing with premium partners face-to-face, by phone and by email.
• Resilient and motivated in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
• Fluency in spoken and written Chinese.
• A strong understanding of the restaurant industry is a significant plus.

What we offer

• Total target compensation of EUR 35,200 to 44,000 gross per year, with a base salary range of EUR 17,200 to 26,000.
• Work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment close to the market.
• The position is not eligible for an equity/RSU grant.
