Business Development Manager - Restaurants, Rome

About the role

Deliveroo, now part of DoorDash, is looking for a Business Development Manager based in Rome. As a founding member of a growing, well-funded company and part of the regional sales team, you will report to the Sales Lead and focus on developing new relationships with restaurants and stores. The role works closely with Italy's most premium and regarded restaurants.

Key responsibilities

• Map, prospect, pitch and close new restaurants across your region in an organised way, acting as an area-level expert who knows the up-and-coming restaurants and which ones customers crave most
• Support partners in joining Deliveroo and provide them the best possible experience
• Communicate with restaurants through physical visits, email, calls or social media to show off Deliveroo's technology
• Help restaurant owners and managers overcome barriers or hesitations
• Attend restaurant and food meet-ups

Required profile

• Sales experience and comfort with targeting new business
• Confidence or experience dealing with partners and customers face-to-face, by phone or by email
• Comfortable with negotiations
• Tenacious attitude
• Fluency in Italian and a good command of English
• Knowledge of the restaurant industry is a significant plus

What we offer

• Total target compensation of EUR 35,200 to 44,000 gross per year, with a base salary range of EUR 17,200 to 26,000
