Field Service Engineer - South Italy

About the role

HITACHI ENERGY ITALY S.P.A. is looking for a Field Service Engineer based in Milan, focused on carrying out service work according to agreed workflows, Hitachi Energy standard processes and safety guidelines. The role involves troubleshooting equipment failures and supporting customers across a wide range of service activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform service tasks, identify technical problems and analyse them remotely or on site across installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, engineering and consulting, upgrades and retrofits, end-of-life services and replacements.
• Carry out service work according to customer orders and expectations, and build good relationships with customers while understanding their needs.
• Ensure materials, parts and equipment are available and of the right quality, and prepare documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and recommend actions to prevent recurrence.
• Follow safety rules and environmental responsibilities, and report unsafe practices and incidents.

Required profile

• Electrotechnical diploma.
• Previous on-site experience with high-voltage (HV) equipment.
• Good knowledge of Italian and English.
• Team player able to meet deadlines, willing to travel in Italy (more than 80%) mainly in Sicily, Calabria, Puglia and Campania.
