Housekeeper – Make Ready

About the role

The Housekeeper – Make Ready ensures that guest rooms, meeting rooms and public areas are clean, well‑maintained and ready for arrival. Working within Marriott’s standards, you will perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs and deep‑cleaning tasks to deliver a perfect guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms and public spaces, including flipping mattresses, vacuuming, deep‑cleaning carpet, touch‑up painting and dusting.
• Clean and restock bathrooms, verify that all appliances are present and functional, replace light fixtures and inspect grout and caulking.
• Carry out minor repairs such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs and patching small wall holes.
• Report serious maintenance issues, safety hazards or unusual findings to the supervisor immediately.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, maintain a professional appearance and protect company assets.
• Welcome guests, anticipate their service needs and support team members to achieve quality standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Less than one year of related housekeeping or maintenance experience.
• Ability to perform physical tasks: reach overhead, bend, lift up to 50 lb, and stand for extended periods.
• No supervisory experience or specific licenses required.
