Legal Counsel (Corporate & Product Compliance)

About the role

Scrambly is seeking a Legal Counsel to lead corporate and product compliance across its fast‑growing adtech platform. You will work closely with leadership, product, and operations teams to ensure responsible growth and adherence to global legal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and partner agreements while protecting business interests.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations in key markets (EU, Japan, South Korea, UK, US).
• Provide day‑to‑day legal guidance to management and cross‑functional teams.
• Maintain and update user‑facing legal documents such as Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy.
• Advise product, design, and marketing teams on data‑privacy and consumer‑law compliance (GDPR, CCPA, and equivalent frameworks).
• Collaborate with engineering to align new features with data‑protection and digital consumer laws.
• Support new product initiatives, including subscription models and related payment policies.
• Serve as Data Protection Officer, overseeing GDPR, CCPA, and comparable regulations, handling data‑subject requests, incidents, and regulatory inquiries.
