Legal Counsel – In‑House Legal Team (Milan)

About the role

Aether Financial Services is expanding its in‑house legal team and is looking for a Legal Counsel to join the Milan office. The role will support the company’s growth by handling legal matters that arise during the structuring and execution of financial transactions and by working closely with operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day legal management of Aether’s operations, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external parties such as banks, law firms, investors and clients.
• Review, analyse, draft and negotiate financing and security documents, as well as other contracts related to the company’s agency activities.
• Manage and monitor processes for general meetings of holders of financial instruments.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting the business and advise management on compliance issues.
• Handle corporate matters, including legal secretariat duties and corporate governance tasks.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects and contribute to the development of new value‑added services.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (BAC+5) in banking or financial law.
• 2–5 years of experience in specialist law firms, banks, advisory firms or investment funds dealing with LBO, infrastructure, structured finance or capital markets.
• Excellent written French and professional‑level English; additional language skills are a plus.
• Proactive, independent, diligent and able to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
