Managing Director – Italy Market Entry (m/f/d)

About the role

EOS Group is launching a full‑scale entry into the Italian market for non‑performing loan (NPL) investments. As Managing Director of EOS Italy, you will build the business from the ground up, shaping strategy, structure and culture while reporting directly to the EOS Group Board.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a market‑entry strategy aligned with EOS Group objectives.
• Establish the legal entity, recruit and lead a high‑performance Italian team.
• Identify, source and negotiate major NPL investment opportunities.
• Oversee the full deal lifecycle—from sourcing to closing and post‑deal performance monitoring.
• Build and maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions, partners and advisors.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and manage risk across all activities.
• Provide strategic insights and performance reports to the EOS Board.
• Drive innovation, digitalisation and new growth opportunities for the Italian unit.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in NPL investments, distressed debt, real‑estate finance or investment banking, with a proven track record of leading transactions and managing portfolios independently.
• Demonstrated experience building organisations or business units, preferably in a start‑up or market‑entry context.
• Strong academic background in Finance, Economics, Law or Business Administration; CFA, MBA or equivalent from a leading international school is a plus.
• Deep knowledge of the Italian financial market and regulatory environment.
• Proven leadership ability to inspire and align cross‑functional teams.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with analytical, fact‑based decision‑making skills.
• Fluent in Italian and English.
