Principal Forward Deployed Engineer, Italian Speaking

About the role

Salesforce is hiring a Principal Forward Deployed Engineer in Milan, Italy, for its Agentforce team. These engineers design, build and deploy complex agentic AI solutions directly inside enterprise customer environments, partnering with a Deployment Strategist to own outcomes end-to-end, from architecture decisions to production. The role requires fluency in Italian and English and the ability to travel to customer sites.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end build and deployment of agentic AI solutions for strategic customers, from architecture to production handoff
• Design and ship agentic systems on the Agentforce platform: agent logic, tool calls, multi-agent orchestration, guardrails and integration patterns
• Own the data lifecycle: model design, processing pipelines and data readiness across Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks and customer platforms
• Resolve technical blockers such as data integration failures, model deployment issues, orchestration breakdowns and performance regressions
• Build and maintain agent performance dashboards and customer KPI reporting
• Develop proofs-of-concept and MVPs, codify reusable patterns and frameworks, and mentor other engineers through code reviews and pair sessions
• Share field insights with Product and Engineering and partner with the Deployment Strategist on customer solutions

Required profile

• 8+ years of software engineering and technical delivery experience, owning scalable production systems in enterprise AI, cloud or SaaS environments
• Expertise in at least one of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java or Apex, and familiarity with the others
• Deep experience in data modeling, processing and analytics, and deep Salesforce platform expertise (Agentforce, Apex, LWC, Flows, Salesforce APIs)
• Experience integrating LLMs into production with frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex, and mentoring technical talent
• Computer Science degree or related; business-level Italian and English; ability to travel to customer sites

The typical base salary range is EUR 88,200 to EUR 117,900 per year, with an additional incentive component depending on grade level.
