Public Sector Sales Executive (Account Executive)

About the role

SailPoint, a leader in identity security, is looking for an Account Executive to sell its Identity Security solution in the public sector, with a high proportion of central government customers. The role is remote and based in Italy, and involves leading a virtual team of partner resources, presales, partner manager, deal desk, professional services, BVA team and customer success.

Key responsibilities

• Exceed quarterly and yearly revenue quota goals.
• Qualify prospects, run discovery calls and present SailPoint's value compared with Microsoft, Okta and Saviynt.
• Own the full sales cycle: qualifying, presentations, demos, RFP responses, negotiations and closing.
• Develop territory and account plans, and work with marketing and channel partners on go-to-market plans.
• Pursue leads, update internal systems, and follow up with customers and the post-sale team.
• Lead technical resources in demonstrations and manage relationships with customers, partners and influencers.

Required profile

• Skilled communicator in first engagements and discovery calls.
• Able to lead a virtual team and act as quarterback, preparing teammates before calls.
• Preferred: bachelor's degree or global equivalent in an IT, business or sales-related field.
• Approximately 50% business travel per year expected.
