Reverse Design Engineer – Mechanical Seals

About the role

As a Reverse Design Engineer you will support EagleBurgmann's sealing technology team in Vimercate by creating accurate 3‑D models, generating bills of material and verifying the design of mechanical seal components. You will work closely with engineering, quality and production to ensure competitor seals are analysed and documented according to company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create 3‑D concept models and corresponding BOMs for reverse‑engineered seal parts.
• Measure mechanical seal components and produce detailed technical documentation.
• Participate in technical and program review meetings as a presenter.
• Check dimensions, verify suitability and validate mechanical seal design parameters.
• Develop quality procedures, installation and operation manuals for control and refurbishment of competitor seals.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
• At least five years of experience in mechanical seal, pump or rotating equipment design.
• Fluent in English and Italian with a valid EU work permit.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Solid Edge or similar CAD software.
• Strong knowledge of office productivity tools.
