Senior Material Cost Analyst

About the role

This highly visible position is responsible for financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and controllership of raw material and logistics costs. You will partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Finance teams to drive cost visibility and support informed business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, analyze, and drive execution of material cost, including raw material purchases and logistics cost.
• Deliver accurate financial reporting and analysis to internal clients, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and Momentive’s policies.
• Analyze monthly inflation, variance versus standards, and support budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and ad‑hoc estimations.
• Design and improve processes/reporting of raw material cost and collaborate on assigned projects.
• Review and approve business transactions per Momentive’s delegation of authority policy.

Required profile

• CA/MBA in finance, accounting, business or related field.
• 4‑5 years of progressive finance experience as a Finance Analyst, Cost Analyst, Operations Analyst or similar.
• Critical thinking, strategic mindset and strong material cost planning & analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with cross‑functional global teams.
• Fluency in English.

Required skills

• Strong working experience using SAP/Business Warehouse.
• Advanced MS Excel (filters, pivots, dynamic charts, formulas, VLOOKUP) and MS PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of accounting processes, internal controls and U.S. GAAP, including Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance.
