Sr. Material Cost Analyst

About the role

This highly visible position is responsible for financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and controllership of raw material and logistics costs. You will partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Finance teams to drive cost visibility and support informed business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, analyze, and drive execution of material cost, including budgeting, quarterly forecasting and ad‑hoc estimations.
• Maintain accuracy and controllership of raw material purchase financials and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies.
• Advise Operations and Business Unit Finance teams on material cost, develop process‑improvement recommendations and deliver efficient financial reporting.
• Analyze monthly inflation, variance versus standards, and logistics cost reporting.
• Design and improve raw material cost reporting processes and support cross‑functional projects.

Required profile

• CA/MBA in finance, accounting, business or related field.
• 4‑5 years progressive finance experience (Finance Analyst, Cost Analyst, Operations Analyst, etc.).
• Critical thinking, strategic mindset and strong communication skills.
• Fluency in English and ability to work with global cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Strong material cost planning & analysis, budgeting and financial analysis.
• Experience with SAP/Business Warehouse.
• Advanced MS Excel (filters, pivots, dynamic charts, formulas, VLOOKUP) and MS PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of accounting processes, internal controls and U.S. GAAP.
