Sous Chef - Luxury Hotel

About the role

Anantara, a luxury hospitality brand within Minor International, is looking for a Sous Chef in Rome. The role covers kitchen operations, team leadership and support for menu planning and supplies.

Key responsibilities

• Be intimately familiar with all kitchen operations and step in to cover any eventuality
• Prepare and cook a wide range of international dishes, including French, Italian and fusion cooking
• Oversee kitchen team members: prepare, schedule and deliver training, manage performance and ensure compliance with health, safety and sanitation rules
• Keep kitchen safety standards up to date
• Help with menu planning, inventory control and supply management

Required profile

• College degree in Hotel Management or a related culinary degree
• At least 3 years of industry and culinary management experience
• Previous experience training team members in large quantities of food preparation
• Excellent knowledge of quality food operations
• Passion for leadership and teamwork, eye for detail and excellent guest service skills
