Bar Manager – Luxury Hotel

About the role

The Bar Manager will lead the daily operations of all bar outlets at San Clemente Palace Venice, ensuring an exceptional guest experience in a luxury hotel setting. This full‑time, on‑site position reports to the Food & Beverage Director and is responsible for maintaining high service standards, product knowledge, and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coach bar staff, organise work schedules and conduct pre‑shift briefings.
• Manage beverage inventory, place orders, control stock levels and monitor costs.
• Collaborate with F&B leadership on menu development and promotional initiatives.
• Handle guest feedback, coordinate with other hotel departments for events and functions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations.
• Drive revenue growth through upselling, signature drink promotion and special events.

Required profile

• Proven experience in bar or restaurant management, preferably within a luxury hotel or upscale hospitality environment.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to create personalized guest experiences.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with guests, team members and cross‑functional departments.
• Sales‑driven mindset with experience in upselling and revenue‑generating activities.
• Organisational aptitude, attention to detail and composure during busy service periods.
• Fluent English; additional Italian language skills are an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in the Micros POS system.
