Key Account Manager – Aerospace & Defence (Italy)

About the role

The Key Account Manager A&D will represent AVL within the Aerospace & Defence Business Unit, acting as the primary partner for major Italian customers. You will manage strategic accounts across the ITS and PTE portfolios, coordinate with global account teams, and drive sales growth in a matrix environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve market targets and sales forecasts.
• Identify growth opportunities, diversify product and service offerings, and pursue cross‑selling between ITS and PTE.
• Negotiate quotations and contracts within company guidelines and ensure compliance with commercial policies.
• Lead the account team, coordinate with internal functions (sales, engineering, operations) and global account managers.
• Maintain accurate data in Salesforce, monitor account performance, and adjust strategies to meet objectives.
• Support the full order‑to‑cash cycle, from offer preparation to final payment, while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing strategic Aerospace & Defence customers in Italy.
• Strong autonomy and strategic judgment in planning and execution.
• Ability to work in a matrix organization without direct reports.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with key decision‑makers.
