Waiter – Luxury Hotel & Spa

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and attentive waiter to join the food and beverage team at a luxury hotel and spa in Venice. The successful candidate will serve guests in the restaurant and bar areas, ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests following service standards.
• Set tables according to event type and maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, and glassware.
• Answer menu questions, communicate special dietary requirements and allergies to the kitchen.
• Record orders in the MICROS POS system and present accurate checks for payment.
• Check in with guests throughout the service to ensure satisfaction.
• Complete closing duties such as restocking, turning off lights and maintaining a safe work environment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in food‑and‑beverage service.
• Ability to work full‑time on site in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 kg unaided.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MICROS point‑of‑sale system.
