Accountant – Build Italy's Finance Foundations

About the role

Street Smash Burgers is expanding its footprint in Italy and needs a proactive Accountant to lay the financial groundwork for its new stores. Based in Milan, you will be the first accounting hire for the Italian entity, working closely with the Madrid headquarters and a local tax advisor.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day bookkeeping, including accounts receivable and payable.
• Record electronic invoices (SDI) and carry out bank reconciliations.
• Manage tax obligations such as VAT, LiPe, F24 filings and electronic receipts.
• Monitor and verify store revenue across multiple channels (cash, card, delivery, meal vouchers).
• Assist in preparing annual financial statements.
• Support the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP (opening balances, master data, testing).
• Liaise with the tax advisor, auditors and headquarters on compliance matters.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Italian accounting.
• Diploma in Ragioneria or a degree in Economics.
• Strong knowledge of Italian accounting principles (OIC) and VAT regulations.
• Excellent command of Excel and native‑level Italian; English at B2 level for daily communication.
• High accuracy, reliability and ability to meet deadlines independently.
