Business Analyst - Financial Services

About the role

Capco, a global technology and business consultancy focused on the financial services sector, is expanding its consulting team in Italy and is hiring a Business Analyst. You will work with leading banking clients on Core Banking transformation and evolution initiatives, collaborating with business stakeholders, IT teams and external vendors in complex project environments.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse business and functional requirements for Core Banking systems and general banking processes
• Produce structured functional documentation (BRD, FRD, use cases, user stories)
• Translate business needs into functional specifications for IT teams and support IT solution design
• Interface with stakeholders, IT teams and third-party vendors to ensure alignment and delivery
• Perform functional impact analysis and manage change requests
• Support testing phases (SIT, UAT), including test case preparation and validation
• Take part in project workshops and meetings, including those held in English

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with banking and consultancy background
• Proven experience in IT projects such as system implementations, migrations and enhancements
• Strong knowledge of core banking processes (current accounts, payments, lending, customer master data)
• Stakeholder management skills with technical and non-technical audiences
• Fluent written and spoken English and native-level Italian
• Nice to have: Bachelor's degree in economics or management engineering; Agile certification
