Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Strategic Finance Leader

About the role

We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join a fast‑growing, profitable food company with an international footprint. Based in the Ferrara area, the CFO will act as a strategic partner to the CEO, shaping the next phase of expansion and driving value creation across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO on strategic and operational matters.
• Lead and support M&A activities from target evaluation through execution and integration.
• Drive financial planning, performance management and cash discipline.
• Strengthen financial processes, internal controls and reporting in a scaling organisation.
• Provide analytical insight to support commercial and operational decisions.
• Build, develop and lead a high‑performing finance team.

Required profile

• 12–20 years of post‑university finance experience, preferably in a commercial environment.
• Strong technical finance foundation combined with solid business acumen.
• Proven ability to influence at CEO level and operate both strategically and hands‑on.
• Comfortable thriving in a dynamic, evolving organisation.
