Cyber Security Expert – Global Manufacturing

About the role

The Cyber Security Expert will safeguard the global manufacturing landscape by designing, implementing and monitoring security solutions across both IT and Operational Technology environments. This senior position combines strategic planning with hands‑on technical work to protect critical production assets and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Support and drive the execution of the global Cyber Security Strategy, leading projects to deliver on time, within budget and with high quality.
• Design and implement robust security architectures such as Zero‑Trust, Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM).
• Evaluate, recommend and integrate new security technologies to strengthen the organization’s defense posture.
• Collaborate with OT teams to secure plant‑floor networks, industrial protocols, SCADA/DCS and other critical production systems.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and ensure continuous compliance with international regulations and industry standards.
• Maintain and update internal security policies, procedures and certifications.
• Coordinate incident response activities and oversee Security Operations Center (SOC) functions.
• Promote a strong security culture through training and awareness programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a dedicated cyber security role, preferably within a multinational manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Deep knowledge of security protocols, identity management, vulnerability management and cloud security principles.
• Strong understanding of OT security standards (e.g., ISA/IEC 62443) and experience securing SCADA/DCS environments.
• Familiarity with major security frameworks such as NIST.
• Relevant certifications such as ISO/IEC 27001 and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or equivalent.
