French‑Speaking Accountant – Milan

About the role

Avnet, a Fortune 500 leader in electronic components distribution, is looking for a French‑speaking Accountant to join its South Europe Accounting Team in Milan. You will support the French entities of the Avnet Group, handling day‑to‑day finance and accounting operations in a fast‑paced, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily financial operations, including sales, purchases, AR, AP and non‑trade payables.
• Manage cash, prepare payments and produce related reports.
• Maintain fixed‑asset ledgers, payroll postings and month‑end accruals.
• Perform intercompany and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare VAT returns, journal entries and other indirect‑tax filings in coordination with local tax advisors.
• Interact with auditors to resolve accounting issues promptly.
• Continuously improve processes, controls and related tools.
• Support ad‑hoc finance projects as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in general and tax accounting.
• Fluent in English, Italian and French.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting principles and French GAAP (advantage).
• High attention to detail, reliability and curiosity.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• SAP (experience preferred).
