Graduate Engineer – Application Program in Milan

About the role

Join Mollie's Engineering Graduate Program in Milan and kick‑start your career in fintech. Over two rotations beginning September 2026, you will work on real‑world projects, develop clean code, and collaborate with senior engineers to enhance our payments platform.

Key responsibilities

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in PHP, Java or Python.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers to design, develop, and test new platform features.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap, ensuring security and up‑to‑date technology.
• Participate in code reviews and continuously optimise the code base.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and propose innovative solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, graduating in 2025 or 2026.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and passion for tackling complex technical challenges.
• Experience working in a collaborative environment.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: PHP, Java, Python.
