International Accountant – Accounts Payable/Receivable

About the role

Saipem is looking for an accountant to join its International Accounts Payable/Receivable team within the new international hub structure. You will support accounting activities for international third parties and ensure compliance with contractual and tax requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all accounting activities directed to international third parties.
• Process passive and active invoices, ensuring alignment with contracts and internal procedures.
• Handle international tax compliance, including VAT, withholding tax and Intrastat declarations.
• Schedule invoice payments according to the internal calendar and maintain supplier ledger cards.
• Prepare on‑demand analyses and reports.
• Perform internal controls to guarantee the accuracy of accounting operations.

Required profile

• Accounting Diploma or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Economics.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Good spoken and written English (minimum B2 level); French or Portuguese is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.
• Familiarity with SAP (preferred).
