Onsite IT Support Engineer – Florence

About the role

AVASO Technology is looking for an Onsite Support Engineer to join its Florence office. You will provide hands‑on technical assistance to end users, ensuring that hardware, software and network issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver on‑site and remote desktop support for users.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and network problems.
• Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops and peripherals.
• Deploy operating systems, updates and software packages.
• Perform routine system audits and keep systems secure.
• Provide end‑user training and create technical documentation.
• Collaborate with the IT team and manage support tickets.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in desktop support or a similar role.
• Fluency in English and Italian.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to non‑technical users.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems.
• Active Directory, group policies and security management.
• Remote desktop tools and troubleshooting techniques.
• Networking protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
• Microsoft Office Suite and other productivity software.
• Hardware diagnostics, repair and replacement.
• System imaging and deployment tools (e.g., SCCM, MDT).
• ITIL incident, problem and change management processes.
• Cloud‑based applications such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
• IT security best practices.
