Seasonal Maitre 2027 – Villa Beatrice, Portofino

About the role

Splendido, a Belmond Hotel owned by the LVMH Group, is an emblem of Portofino's allure, set in the protected hills overlooking the Gulf of Tigullio. Villa Beatrice, part of the hotel, is looking for a Maitre for the 2027 season. The post reports to the Villa Manager and sits within the front office and guest relations area.

Key responsibilities

• Anticipate guests' needs and handle guest complaints, delivering a personalised experience in line with service standards
• Cooperate with the Villa Manager on staff development
• Manage staff in everyday operations according to standards and procedures
• Maintain a professional relationship with guests and colleagues

Required profile

• At least 3 years' experience in the same role in the luxury hotel industry
• Fluent English and Italian; a third language is desirable
• Experience preferably at an international level in a fine dining restaurant
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Effective communication, emotional intelligence, adaptability and teamwork

Required skills

• Professional knowledge of Italian cuisine and Italian and international wines
• HACCP certification

What we offer

• Seasonal labour contract under the C.C.N.L. Settore Turismo (Level 3, Maitre)
• Start March 2027 to end October 2027, with the aim of continuous collaboration over subsequent seasons and a career path
• Monthly gross salary plus separate payslips for the 13th, 14th month and TFR
