Senior Solutions Architect – Data & Intelligence Platform

About the role

Databricks is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join its Milan office. You will use your technical expertise to show how the Data & Intelligence Platform helps customers solve complex data challenges, working with a collaborative, customer-focused team to build custom solutions. The role is based in the Milan region, with a hybrid schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Build successful client relationships across Italy, giving technical and business value alongside Account Executives.
• Act as an expert in big data analytics and a trusted advisor on architecture, design and implementation, helping customers adopt the platform.
• Author reference architectures, how-to guides and demo applications, and lead regional workshops, seminars and meet-ups.
• Develop into a technical and/or industry specialist.

Required profile

• Ability to engage customers in technical sales, challenge their questions and guide clear outcomes.
• Experience building customer relationships and internal partnerships with account executives and teams.
• Location in the Milan region, within commuting distance for a hybrid schedule.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% for customer meetings, events and trainings.
• Business proficiency in both Italian and English.

Required skills

• Prior experience coding in a core language such as Python, Java or Scala, and willingness to learn a base level of Spark.
• Hands-on expertise with complex proofs-of-concept and public cloud platforms.
• Use case discovery, scoping and delivery of complex solution architecture designs to multiple audiences.

The pay range for this role is EUR 112,700 to 155,000, depending on skills, experience, certifications and location; total compensation may also include a performance bonus and equity.
