Associate Team Leader, Data & Analytics – Milan

About the role

Oliver Wyman's Data & Analytics division, a Marsh business, is hiring an Associate Team Leader in Milan. The role focuses on managing projects, typically one at a time, with about 50% of time spent on site with clients and 50% off site. It suits professionals with relevant experience in quantitatively intense fields, especially financial services, and offers a clear career path to partner level.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects by developing hypotheses, collecting data, building models and running analyses, and conducting primary and secondary research
• Oversee analysts' work and surface insights
• Work with partners and the internal network to give technical and senior-level guidance
• Work with clients to deliver project deliverables to a high standard
• Maintain the team's energy and work-life balance, and coach Oliver Wyman and client team members

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Informatics, Data Science or Engineering)
• At least 3 years of experience in specialised consulting firms, top-tier banks or financial institutions, in data analytics, credit risk, financial modelling or machine learning
• Excellent command of Italian and English, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently under limited supervision, meet deadlines in a fast pace, and respect confidentiality
• Willingness to travel regularly

Required skills

• Advanced analytics and data manipulation software: R, Python, SAS, SQL or SPSS
• Strong analysis, documentation and communication skills

• Permanent contract under the CCNL Commercio, with a base salary of EUR 49,000 to 75,000 gross per year (full-time equivalent)
