Engagement Manager, Energy & Natural Resources – Milan

About the role

Oliver Wyman's Energy & Natural Resources practice in Milan is looking for an Engagement Manager (m/f/d) to lead transformational engagements with C-suite clients and help grow the practice in Italy. Working closely with Partners and Principals, you will advise senior executives and boards on strategy, growth, transformation, performance improvement, energy transition and decarbonization, and build trusted client relationships. The role is covered by the CCNL Commercio collective agreement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex, high-impact engagements with C-Suite clients from problem definition through recommendation and implementation
• Advise senior executives and boards on strategic priorities, including energy transition and decarbonization
• Contribute to commercial development, proposals and client development with Partners and Principals
• Create high-quality intellectual capital and thought leadership
• Direct and develop project teams, providing coaching and feedback
• Contribute to recruiting, talent development and knowledge building

Required profile

• At least 6-8 years of relevant professional experience, with significant experience in a top-tier strategy consulting firm or comparable advisory environment
• Demonstrated expertise in Energy & Natural Resources (utilities, power & gas, energy infrastructure, private capital)
• Strong record of leading complex strategy and transformation projects
• Proven commercial contribution and ability to lead, coach and develop diverse teams
• Master's degree or MBA with a strong academic record
• Willingness to travel within Italy and internationally

Required skills

• Fluency in Italian and English
• Structured problem-solving, analytical, written and verbal communication skills
