Chef de Rang - Luxury Restaurant

About the role

Anantara Convento di Amalfi Grand Hotel, a five-star luxury hotel perched on an 80-metre cliff overlooking the Amalfi coast, is hiring a Chef de Rang for the 2025 season. Reporting to the maître, the selected person will be in charge of a specific station of the restaurant.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure and organise the set-up of the dining room and tables, keeping them functional and aesthetically pleasing
• Welcome guests, guide them to their tables, present the menu and wine list, suggest pairings and manage table service
• Maintain the station to standards at all times
• Build a complete knowledge of the menus
• Coordinate and monitor the commis waiters assigned to the station
• Work as a team with colleagues in all departments to ensure timely service
• Take part in training meetings to develop professional skills and raise guest satisfaction

Required profile

• Graduation in the tourism/hotel industry
• At least 2 years' experience in a similar position in luxury hotels or high-level restaurants
• Fluent Italian and English; a second foreign language is a plus
• Pleasant personality, strong sense of aesthetics, attention to detail and quality, and excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to anticipate guests' needs and work both in a team and independently
• Preference given to candidates living in or near Amalfi

Required skills

• Familiarity with mise en place techniques in an à la carte restaurant and banqueting
