Guest Relation Manager - 5-Star Luxury Hotel

About the role

The Guest Relation Manager reports to the Front Office Manager at the 5-star luxury Anantara Convento di Amalfi Grand Hotel, a former 13th-century monastery on an 80-metre cliff overlooking the Amalfi coast. The role is the main point of contact for guests, ensuring their needs are met and their stay exceeds expectations, and builds lasting relationships with guests.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests on arrival and assist them throughout their stay, answering questions and solving problems
• Handle special requests such as room upgrades, restaurant reservations, concierge services and special events
• Coordinate with front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, spa and other departments to deliver guest requests
• Monitor and respond to guest feedback on site and online, keeping a record of guest preferences
• Build trusting relationships with VIP, repeat and long-stay guests
• Supervise the guest relations team, provide training and monitor performance
• Take part in daily management meetings on service improvements

Required profile

• At least 2/3 years of experience in a similar role in luxury hotels or 5-star resorts
• Excellent communication in English and Italian; other languages are a plus
• Leadership experience, including team management and staff training
• Ability to work under pressure and flexibility for weekends and holidays

Required skills

• Knowledge of hospitality best practices
• Familiarity with leading hotel management software
